What is a preformatted text field

Create or edit a new form

_ (1) Form designation: _ The name of the form can be assigned here. It is not displayed on the website, it is only used for allocation.

(2) save as a new form: If this is checked, a new form will be created when the form is saved. It is highly recommended to use this option as often as possible, since all links to the texts and all email formatting are taken over with it.

(3) Recipient email: The registration will be sent to the email address entered here.

(4) Text "send" button: The send button can be provided with a freely chosen text. (e.g. "Reserve a place on the waiting list")

(5) Text above the form: The text is output above the input window of the form.

(6) Success message: This text will be displayed on the website after the data has been transferred to the customer and the organizer. Here you can note what should happen next: You will receive an automatic confirmation email… or… Please send us the following documents….

The actual fields of the form are defined in this area of ​​the form manager.
The fields (9) to (16) are already created by default. They can all be changed or deleted individually, except for the fields salutation (10), first name and surname (11) and your e-mail address (13). These fields are marked with a blue asterisk.
The red asterisk means that these fields must be completed by the customer. The definition of the mandatory fields can be freely chosen.

(7) add: If this tab is activated, you will see all available form fields on the left.
These fields can be dragged into the form on the right with the mouse and placed anywhere.
(8) edit: If this tab is clicked, the editing options for the field that was clicked on in the form on the right-hand side are always displayed on the left.
(9) Form view: The completed form is shown on the right-hand side. Here the various elements can be dragged in from the left with the mouse. The order of the individual fields can also be changed with the mouse: Drag the respective element to the desired place.
(10) Salutation: This is a pre-formatted multiple choice field. Processing see point (19)
(11) First name and surname: This is a pre-formatted text field. Processing see point (17)
(12) Street / Place: This is a pre-formatted text field. Processing see point (17)
(13) e-mail address: This is a pre-formatted text field. Processing see point (17)
(14) Number of people: This is a pre-formatted picklist field. Processing see point (18)
(15) Other information: This is a pre-formatted text field - multi-line. Processing see point (17)
(16) Confirmation of General Terms and Conditions: This is a pre-formatted checkbox field. Processing see point (20)

(17) Single-line / multi-line text field: Using the tab on the left, you can freely determine the labeling of the field.
You can define this field as a mandatory field by ticking the checkbox. The form can then only be sent if this field is filled out.

(18) Selection list field Using the tab on the left, you can freely determine the labeling of the field.
In the Options area you can enter as many options as you want, which are then displayed in the selection list. With “Add” you create a new value at the end of the list. With “delete” you delete the corresponding selection option.
You can define this field as a mandatory field by ticking the checkbox. The form can then only be sent if this field is filled out.

(19) Multiple choice field Using the tab on the left, you can freely determine the labeling of the field.
In the Options area you can enter as many multiple choice information as you want, which will then be displayed in the form. With “Add” you create a new value at the end of the list. With “delete” you delete the corresponding selection option.

(21) Text below the form: The text is output below the input window of the form.

(22) Confirmation email HTML: In this input window you can determine the appearance of the registration confirmation that the customer receives. You will receive the same email to the email address entered under point (3).
You can enter and format any text here.
The following structure has proven itself:

Personalized salutation: {salutation} {name}
With this printout, the contents of the form completed by the customer from the area of ​​salutation and first name, last name are adopted.

Free text for confirmation: Confirmation of registration, further information

  • Transfer of course data: {course data} *
    With this printout, the title of the event, date, time, place and price of the event for which the customer has registered are taken over.
  • Transfer of form values: {form values} *
    With this printout, all information that the customer has given in the form is taken over.

The expressions in curly brackets must not be deleted or changed. The placement can be chosen arbitrarily.

(23) Confirmation email text: Use your text from point (22) here. This text is sent to the customer if he can only receive text emails. No formatting options are available to you.

(24) Save form: With this button you save the changes to the form.
