How to make reflective glass

Glass corrosion: This helps against milky glasses and glass rims

January 13, 2016 - 6:25 p.m.

We have tested how to remove glass corrosion again!

It's really a nuisance every time: after a few weeks, even new glasses are milky and calcified. A few visits in the dishwasher - that's often enough until they are cloudy. Is there a way to prevent so-called glass corrosion? And are there any tricks you can use to get rid of these ugly stains? We did the test with cola, eggshells and potash, among other things.

Can any of these home remedies remove stubborn glass corrosion? Together with home economics teacher Petra Holpert and Dirk Berger from the University of Berlin, we took a close look at which glasses are particularly susceptible to limescale deposits and what can be done about it.

How practicable the methods with eggshell and Co. are and whether they actually bring anything, you can find out in the video!
