Howard Bishop Middle School Band Camp

2013 Summer Camp

Greetings parents,
As I'm sure you are aware of the first week of Wired! Camp starts next Monday, June 17th at 1:30 and get's out 5:30. There are a few things you should know:
1. Drop off and pickup (If your student is not coming straight from band) will be at the front car loop of Howard Bishop. I will be up front from 1:00 - 1:20 on the first day of each session to guide those who may not yet know their way around the school.
2. Everyday, campers will meet in the first classroom in the A-Wing (Ms. Jimenez's old room) and after a brief hello will disperse to their various classes. The schedule breaks down like this:
There are a few things your child will need to have depending on their classes.
  • Minecraft - Your child MUST already have a Minecraft account and know their username / password. Minecraft can be purchased at for $ 20. Please take care of this before camp as we do not have the ability to purchase minecraft for your child.
  • Animation / Cartooning - It's recommended that your child bring a flash drive and a set of earbuds however it's not required.
  • Robotics - nothing!
If you have any other questions please feel free to reply to this email or call me at 352-745-3675.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon,
For six years now a group of teachers from Howard Bishop Middle School have been providing a unique summer camp experience to students interested in technology. These are expert educators with a passion for technology and a wealth of knowledge they're eager to share with bright young minds. Every year the program offers select opportunities for your child to spend their time learning, exploring, and innovating. This year is no exception. Wired Tech Camp 6.0 will be hosted at Howard Bishop * for three one week sessions. Each session will provide hands-on activities and challenges that are designed to foster creativity, innovation, and passion for all things Tech. This year we are proud to offer the following courses.

* Wired! Tech Camp 2013 is not associated with Howard Bishop Middle School or the School Board of Alachua County.
