How to change the text width in Autocad

Download Now uses Autodesk Download Manager (DLM), which saves you time by extracting file packages as they are downloaded. DLM also increases performance through the use of network acceleration techniques.

DLM offers functions for automatic repetitions and restarts as well as intelligent error handling during the download. You can download up to three products at a time, and you can add an unlimited number of products to the queue.

Downloading and using DLM

When the prompt to download DLM appears, save the file with the name AutodeskDownloadManagerSetup.exeand run it. (Depending on your browser, it may be necessary to double-click this file). Follow the prompts to allow changes to be made to your computer, accept the license and service agreement, and confirm the download location to complete the installation.

When you download and run the DLM, you can use your computer for other tasks. If the performance is slow, pause the download and resume later. When you shut down the computer, DLM will resume where it left off. You don't have to start over.

System requirements

DLM is compatible with Internet Explorer version 7 or higher. If you're using Chrome or Firefox and you're having problems with Download Now or Install Now, use Internet Explorer instead.

You can install DLM on the following Windows operating systems with the base service pack:

  • Windows 7 Enterprise (32 or 64 bit)
  • Windows 8 Enterprise (32 or 64 bit)
  • Windows 10 Enterprise (32 or 64 bit)
  • Windows Server 2008 Server R2 (64 bit)
  • Windows Server 2012 Server R2 (64 bit)
  • Windows Server 2016

For DLM a resolution of at least 1024 x 768 pixels is required.

Troubleshooting

  • Change the download location (basics). DLM allows you to change the download location at the beginning of a new download session. In some cases, you may need to change the location while a product is downloading (for example, if there is not enough free space). If so, the best practice is to close DLM, reset the location, and start over.
  • Change the location for the download (advanced). Experienced users can set the download directory manually by creating the file download.info to change. To find the file, enter the following path in Windows Explorer: % LOCALAPPDATA% \ Autodesk \ Autodesk Download Manager. Open the file download.info in a text editor, for example in the Windows Notepad. Then change the string that starts with DefaultDestDir (for example, DefaultDestDir = C: \ Autodesk) to specify a new location and save the file.

Uninstall DLM

To remove DLM from your computer:

  1. Close DLM.
  2. In the Windows Control Panel, under Programs and Features, select Uninstall a program.
  3. Select DLM and click Uninstall.
  4. Enter this path in Windows Explorer:% LOCALAPPDATA% \ Autodesk \ Autodesk Download Manager
  5. Delete the file download.info.
