How many grafts per fue session

DHI hair transplant

DHI technique compared to FUE hair transplant

1) DHI uses the special implanter to precisely control the angle, depth and direction of the implanted follicle. This creates a completely natural hairline and look.

2) In the DHI technique, the extracted grafts are implanted directly in the recipient area, while in the FUE technique, extracted grafts must be stored in a special solution, channels are opened in the recipient area, and then extracted grafts are implanted in the opened channels.

With DHI, there is no additional step in opening channels.

3) DHI does not bleed because the implantation is carried out with the special implanter without opening the channels.

4) There is no crusting, pitting, or postulation with the DHI method.

5) It is possible to implant 45-60 grafts per 2cm with the FUE method, but it is not possible to implant 80-90 grafts per 2cm with the FUE method without affecting the blood supply to the scalp. This means that the maximum possible density can be achieved with DHI. For example, if the maximum hair transplantation can be achieved with the DHI method in a certain retreat area in the front line, it is only 1,000 grafts with the FUE method. With DHI technology, there can be 2,000 grafts for the same area.

6) The maximum number of grafts in one session with the FUE method can be around 3,000 grafts, while with the DHI method it can be up to 5,000 grafts. Patients who require more than 3,000 grafts will therefore have to endure more than one session of the FUE method.

7) Transplanting angle and direction correctly is much easier and more successful with the special implanter at DHI.

8) There is no need to shave with DHI, grafts are only removed from the donor area. For FUE, the entire scalp should be shaved before the procedure.

9) The patient with DHI technique can return to their normal routine much faster than the patient with FUE hair transplant.

10) Recovery is faster with DHI.
